MCIT- ICDL Delegate Team Participates in ECDL Foundation Forum 2009, Athens, Greece

The MCIT ICDL delegate team, head by ICDL program manager, participated in the ECDL foundation annual forum 2009 in Athens, Greece, From 21st Oct 2009 To 23rd Oct 2009.
More than 56 countries delegate teams participated in the annual forum of ECDL foundation 2009 representing almost all the regions of the world.
The MCIT –ICDL delegate team participated effectively in the various activities of the forum including the sessions, discussion groups …etc, in addition, the MCIT ICDL Program director has presented the “ICDL – Egypt program mid – term achievements “ presentation, which included the achievements of MCIT - ICDL scholarship program in Egypt as a success story representing the Public Administration of ICDL worldwide, and the program vision for the coming period, where the MCIT-ICDL scholarship program “ICDL –Egypt” represents the largest ICDL program worldwide based on targeted graduates annually.
The ECDL representatives showed a great appreciation for the administration system of the
MCIT- IC DL scholarship “ICDL –Egypt”.
During the forum activities, ECDL Egypt “UNESCO Cairo Office” won two awards, the first was for outstanding performance in Gaza Strip during the Israeli attack (Jan 2009), and the second for Women Empowerment in Egypt (supported by MCIT-ICDL scholarship achievements where women represents almost the half of MCIT-ICDL scholarship graduates)
In the last day of the forum a meeting was conducted between ECDL- CEO Mr. Damien O’Sullivan, and Dr. Samia Mashaly, Director of MCIT -ICDL Scholarship, where future cooperation plans were discussed including the renewal of cooperation protocol and suggestions for the execution of other advanced versions of the ECDL foundation in Egypt .
